ABOUT
US

Welcome to Dockside Doodles Ohio. We are Dave and Marianne Williamson, Alpha Dogs! Our growing pack includes five human children and spouses, three grandchildren, three Golden Retrievers, nine Standard Poodles, and four Goldendoodles. Come on in and enjoy our tale!

We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary in April 2022. In all those years, furry friends have always been a part of our lives. We've never been without a Golden Retriever, and we will never be without a Standard Poodle and Goldendoodle moving forward. At the end of a long day, we know we will always have someone here who loves us beyond what we deserve and inspires us to be better humans.

In 2011, we met a Goldendoodle on a hiking trail in Michigan. He was gentle, friendly, soft and adorable. Down to just one Golden Retriever, Cinnamon, at the time, we decided we'd like to find a Goldendoodle to be her companion. Instead of purchasing a Doodle, we opted for a Standard Poodle we named Clyde. Within a year, Cinnamon delivered a litter of five Goldendoodle Puppies. We kept two and shared the rest with family and friends. Three pups from that first litter, and a fourth pup from a subsequent litter are now registered Therapy Dogs through Therapy Dogs International and serve school children, nursing home residents, work with grief and crisis counselors and make a difference in every life they touch.

Eventually, raising dogs and puppies took on a new meaning. Dave retired to stay at home with our canine friends. And, he helps others experience the genuine love and loyalty we have come to know from our dogs. Our dogs live with us. They take turns spending time in our kitchen, waiting patiently for crumbs to fall when we dine at our family table, and they can be found napping on our laps at the end of the day. They take turns, too, sleeping in our beds or sometimes on a cozy mat beside us, and they are never alone. Nor are we. We care for them as family members and want you to know that they are loved from conception.

We now have three golden retrievers (Sage, Holly and Paxton - Cinnamon passed away after retiring and living all of her days with us), nine standard poodles (Blue, Lucky, Cayenne, Pepper, Bonnie(retired), Henry, Ford, Mocha and Jo ), and four Goldendoodles of our own (Chompers, Honey, HOPE and Teal).

We live pleasant, rural, country lives with our dogs. Many wonderful dogs have and will continue to be part of our lives in our years on this earth. But we also know that for each of our dogs, we are theirs for their entire life.

For most of us, dogs are not our whole life... but dogs make our lives whole. People who know and love their dog hope and pray they can be the kind of person their dog thinks they are!

For every adoption, our goal is to hear the family say, “We got the best puppy in the litter!”
